Kitchen and bath tune-ups in Ponte Vedra Beach

Cabinet realignment, hardware, garbage disposal, faucets, vanities. The small kitchen and bath jobs that add up.

St Johns Handyman handles kitchen and bath tune-up work across Ponte Vedra Beach and St. Johns County — the small jobs that add up to a kitchen or bath that works right. Cabinet door realignment, knob and pull installation, faucet replacement, garbage disposal swaps, vanity install, mirror hanging, towel-bar reset. Most jobs run $150–$500. We don't take on full kitchen or bath remodels — that's a specialty trade — but we keep the existing kitchen working. Call (904) 871-5791.

How it works

Three steps, no surprises.

  1. 1

    Call or text

Tell us what's wrong in a sentence — phone or a quick text with a photo.

  2. 2

    On-site estimate

We come out, look at the job, and quote you a firm price. No call-out fee.

  3. 3

    Done

Most jobs in this category are completed in a single visit. We clean up before we leave.

What we’ll tell you not to do

If your cabinets are pre-2005 builder grade and you’re thinking about replacing knobs and pulls to make them look fresh — sometimes that’s worth it, sometimes it’s better to paint the cabinets instead. We’ll tell you which one wins the math. Cabinet painting is in our wheelhouse too.

When to remodel vs tune-up

If you’re spending more than ~$2,500 on kitchen tune-ups across multiple visits, that money would be better invested in a real remodel. We’ll say that to you. We’d rather get you a refresh that lasts another five years than nickel-and-dime you toward a remodel you should just plan.

What's in a quote

Honest line items. No mystery fees.

Here's exactly how we put a quote together for a typical small repair. Tap any row to see what each line covers.

  • Labor $180 3 hrs × $60/hr

We charge a per-job rate when we can. When the scope is open-ended, we charge $60/hour per technician. We always tell you which it is before we start so you can decide.

  • Materials $42 drywall, primer, fasteners

We pass through our cost on materials at no markup. Receipts on request. Anything we already have on the truck — patch kits, common fasteners — is included in labor at no extra charge.

  • Dump / disposal $25 haul-away of debris

If the job creates more than a kitchen trash bag of waste, we add a small disposal fee. Smaller jobs are included in labor. For very large jobs (full room demos), a dumpster rental gets quoted separately.

  • Warranty buffer $10 12-month workmanship buffer

A small per-job amount that lets us cover the 12-month workmanship warranty without re-quoting. About 1 in 20 jobs comes back for warranty work; this line covers all of them.

  • Cleanup included drop cloths, vacuum, wipe

Drop cloths, dust containment, vacuum, wipe — always included in labor, never a separate line. We leave the room cleaner than we found it.

  • Trip / service fee $0 no call-out or trip fee

We do not charge a call-out fee or trip fee. The drive is on us. For very far jobs outside our standard service area (Hastings, parts of southwest St. Johns County) we may quote a small travel addition — we tell you about it upfront, never in the invoice.

Total $257

Sample quote for a typical small repair. Your actual quote is firm and in writing before any work begins. No surprises.

Frequently asked

Kitchen and bath service — questions we get a lot

Do you do full kitchen remodels?

No — full remodels are specialty work involving permits, design, and licensed sub-trades. We do the small jobs that keep the existing kitchen working and looking good.

Can you replace my faucet?

Yes. Kitchen or bath faucet swap with you supplying the fixture runs $175–$275. We supply: add product cost.

My cabinets are hanging crooked. Can you fix that?

Almost always. Modern cabinet hinges are adjustable in three directions; most crooked-cabinet problems are 20 minutes of adjustment, not new cabinets. $150–$300 for a typical kitchen.

Can you install a vanity I bought?

Yes. Pull the old vanity, set the new one, reconnect supply and drain, caulk the wall. Standard 30–36" vanity $400–$700; double-vanity quoted separately.

Do you reglaze tubs or replace countertops?

Reglazing is a specialty trade and we refer out. Countertop replacement we don't do for full kitchens (templating + fabrication + install is a specialty), but small laminate work we'll do.
